New National Model Construction Codes Website

7/14/2010 10:00:00 AM

Canada’s National Research Council has launched their newly remodelled National Model Construction Codes website. This site also serves as the official web site of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes.

The look of the web site has been refreshed with brighter graphics and its layout made to conform to current Government of Canada Common Look & Feel requirements. Its content has been reorganized and updated, and new content will be added as it becomes available. One such item will be the posting of minutes from CCBFC and Standing Committee meetings in the very near future.

Navigation has also been improved so that information is now easier to find and grouped together more logically. Where possible, repetitive information has been eliminated and consolidated in a single document. Enhancements will continue to be made in the coming months as identified and where feasible to provide a richer experience for users. To view the new site, you may need to delete your old bookmark and create a new one using the URL: www.nationalcodes.ca.

NRC welcomes feedback from members on the new site. Your comments or suggestions should be sent to Michelle Gagnon, Communications Officer, Codes and Evaluation, NRC Institute for Research in Construction, at michelle.gagnon@nrc.gc.ca.
