Shaking the Foundation
After the earthquake in Japan last spring, in Toronto last month, and now on Vancouver Island, we need to ask ourselves: are B.C. homes equipped to handle a big earthquake?
Every time there's a major earthquake in the world, we follow the same
routine. First, we are shocked by the damage and the destruction.
Second, we think about how lucky we've been in B.C. so far. And then, at
least some of us make a list of things to do to prepare for when an
earthquake rocks our province. And that should include preparing our
homes.
